Dále byly popsány pokročilé metody zobrazování, úpravy a tvorby kloubních ploch a použity k vyvinutí nového designu personalizovaného kloubního implantátu společně s inovační technologií jeho inserce a nástroji potřebnými k její úspěšné realizaci. Toto nové řešení bylo úspěšně ověřeno mnoha testy i výrobou Ti6Al4V-ELI a CoCrMo prototypů implantátů metodou EBM. Proveditelnost a použití v praxi bylo konzultováno a schváleno odborníky v této oblasti.
This work deals with advanced manufacturing Electron Beam Melting technology (EBM) using titanium alloy Ti6Al4V-ELI focusing on production of implants and develops a new unique personalized design of a knee joint implant and a methodology of its insertion. This solution is much more patient-friendly, prevents the patient’s healthy bone at maximum and longer implant lifetime is expected. The solution is a part of a patent application No. PV 2020-459. The work describes the EBM method, evaluates material, technological, mechanical and fatigue properties of samples made from titanium alloy Ti6Al4V-ELI, produced by additive EBM technology. The work evaluates the treatment of samples by technology of grinding, turning, ball milling and tumbling, a special drag finishing technology. The work also deals with advanced visualization methods of joint surfaces and their processing, design and prototyping of a personalized knee implant from CT scan, improvement of damping properties of the implant, development of a new insertion methodology and the production of implant prototypes using EBM technology and Ti6Al4V-ELI and CoCrMo materials. Tests, analysis and prototype production proved that material Ti6Al4V-ELI fabricated by technology EBM can reach excellent mechanical properties and new personalized knee joint implant design and insertion technology are competitive with current design and methods and brings several benefits, which is confirmed by experts in this field.
