Chápání pojmu lidová architektura a stavitelství se v posledních desetiletích zvláště v okruhu odborníků, kteří se tímto projevem lidové kultury zabývají, velmi proměňuje. Co je příčinou této proměny a z čeho vychází? Příspěvek shrnuje vývoj tohoto odborného termínu v průběhu uplynulých dvou století a na počátku nového tisíciletí, a to zejména od osmdesátých let 19. století, kdy se zájem o venkovské stavitelství výrazně zvýšil, po úvahy autorů, kteří se tímto tématem zabývají v posledních desetiletích. The understanding of the concept of folk architecture and construction has changed very much in recent decades, especially in the circle of professionals who deal with this manifestation of folk culture. What is the cause of this transformation and what is it based on? The paper summarizes the evolution of this term over the past two centuries and the beginning of the new millennium, especially since the 1880s, when the interest in rural construction has increased significantly, to the considerations of authors who have been dealing with this topic in recent decades.
