Proces suchého tření je popsán obecným Coulombovým zákonem respektujícím mikroposuvy při velmi nízkých rychlostech, rozdíl mezi statickými a dynamickými koeficienty apod. Pro numerické výpočty je vhodné nahradit silně nelineární funkci ekvivalentním lineárním koeficientem tlumení. The dry friction processes is described by a general Coulomb friction law with respecting of micro-slips at the very low velocity, difference between static and dynamic coefficients, etc. For numerical calculation it is suitable to replace strongly nonlinear function by an equivalent linear damping coefficient.
