Abstract: This work attempts to find suitable criteria to asses an atmospheric stability in order to estimate relationships between aerosol particles concentration, meteorological conditions and concentrations of gaseous pollutants (ozone, NO2 and SO2). Searching of the connection is based on meteorological data and concentrations of gaseous pollutants monitored by the CHMI, and data measured by the Laboratory of Aerosol Chemistry and Physics. An aerological method, a synoptical method and CAPE and MOCON values are applied to the data acquired at the station Bílý Kříž during an experimental campaign. Aerological method and CAPE are the most suitable ones. Synoptical method shows mainly origin of air masses instead of its stability and MOCON does not seem to have any expressive influence on particles’ and gaseous pollutants’ concentrations.
