V oblasti ochranného pilíře centrálních jam někdejšího dolu Doubrava jsou ve vrstvách produktivního karbonu zastoupeny všechny stratigrafické jednotky vrstevního sledu počínaje slojí I vrstev doubravských, přes sloje svrchních a spodních vrstev sušských a sedlových karvinského souvrství až po sloje ostravského souvrství. The excavation in the safety pillars is in mostly cases specific minig problem. It is primarily related to the properties of rock mass and to the long-term excavation in the circumjacent part of the deposit. That is why the high stres concentration acumulates and consequently rock burst risk is rising there. In our contribution, we would like to state the first geomechanical and geophysical experiences from the excavation in the safety pillar of former shafts Doubrava in the north part of Karviná subbasin.
