eng Abstract:
Labial glands and fat bodies of the bumblebee males species Bombus terrestris were incubated in the medium with sodium [1,2-14]acetate and [1,2-14]acetate addition. Metabolites of the accetate substrate were identified by means of localization of beta emission from compounds containing 14C in their structure on thin layer chromatography plates with non destructive position sensitive radio detector and comprehensive two dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC-MS). It was found that radioactive [1,2-14]acetate incorporated into various kind of compounds such as terpenoids, fatty acids, hydrocarbons and triacylgylcerols.
