Jedním z možných současných využití pístového parního motoru je zpracování páry ze solárního generátoru za účelem výroby elektrické energie. Práce se zabývá možností použití parního motoru pro výrobu elektrické energie za využití energie slunce, takováto aplikace by šla s výhodou použít u „off grid“ řešení jako nezávislý zdroj energie. V případě nedostatečného osvitu by totiž mohl být připojen jiný zdroj páry. Possible modern application of piston steam engine is electricity production using steam made by solar energy. This diploma thesis focuses on designing such piston steam engine Described solution would be effective as an off grid electricity generator, because alternative source of steam could be added for occasions, when sunlight is not powerfull enough for steam production.
