Robusticita kostry je využívána pro rekonstrukci habituální aktivity minulých populací. Cílem práce je shrnout proces vývoje biomechanických vlastností kostí a vytvořit přehled faktorů, které mohou ovlivňovat formování robusticity v průběhu ontogeneze. Práce se zbývá vlivem genetické determinace, ekogeografických podmínek a faktorů souvisejících se subsistencí člověka. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována působení mechanické zátěže jako klíčového determinantu postkraniální robusticity. Dále jsou diskutovány vzájemné interakce faktorů působících na robusticitu nedospělých jedinců a jejich dopady na výslednou robusticitu kostí. Klíčová slova: funkční adaptace kosti, habituální aktivita, mechanická deformace, ontogeneze, robusticita Measures of bone robusticity are used in order to reconstruct habitual activity of past populations. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the development of bone biomechanical properties and to create an overview of the factors affecting the ontogeny of human bone robusticity. The covered influences include genetics, ecogeographical environment and subsistence strategies. An emphasis is put on the mechanical load as it is considered a key determinant of postcranial robusticity. Additionally, the interplay of these factors and its influence on the adult robusticity is discussed. Key words: bone functional adaptation, habitual activity, ontogeny, robusticity, strain
