cze Abstract:
Poradenství pro klienty kuřáky a současně...Background: Clients in addictological outpatient care are often not just a user of another addictive substance, but also smokers. Workers in these outpatient services focus especially on the primary addictive substance, despite the fact that there are many studies nowadays that prove that quitting tobacco products along with the primary addictive substance increases treatment success. Objectives: The aim of this work is to discover whether and how workers in the selected addictological outpatient services provide counselling to their clients in the area of smoking cessation. Methods: A qualitative approach was chosen for the research, which included semi- structured interviews in which a range of questions had been proposed beforehand. Respondents were obtained by deliberate selection. A total of 13 addictological outpatient services in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region were invited ti participate, 6 of them participated in the research. Results: The results of the research show that most experts in the selected addictological outpatient services do not focus primarily on smoking cessation. Only a third of them work with clients who deal only with tobacco dependence. This counseling takes the form of individual therapies. A client is educated about the addiction and is made a plan for quitting...
