We study mechanical interactions between a deforming elastic solid and flowing fluid, the so called Fluid-Structure Interaction problem (FSI). In this Thesis, the fluid is assumed to be Newtonian, incompressible and homogeneous. There are many appli- cations of FSI in biomechanics and we will move in this direction. The processes in biomechanics include hemodynamics - blood interacting with elastic arteries or heart valves or interactions between air and lungs or vocal cords. We present two monolithic approaches - Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) and Fully Eulerian approach. For the ALE method we further distinguish between Total ALE and Updated ALE. The FEniCS implementations are compared on FSI Turek&Hron benchmark with the use of several time-stepping schemes and resolutions in time and space. We benefit from PETSc TS adaptive time-stepper. In the last chapter 3D experiments are presented. 1 V práci se zabýváme mechanickými interakcemi mezi deformující se elastickou lát- kou a proudící tekutinou, to se nazývá Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI). Tekutinu uvažujeme Newtonovskou, nestlačitelnou a homogenní. FSI má mnoho aplikací v bio- mechanice, cílem naší práce je co nejvíce se přiblížit modelování těchto reálných procesů. Mezi ně patří hemodynamika, kde krev intereaguje s tepnou nebo srdeční chlopní, nebo interakce vzduchu s plícemi či hlasivkami. Předvedeme dva monolitické přístupy, Ar- bitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) a plně Eulerovský. Pro ALE metodu budeme dále rozlišovat Total ALE a Updated ALE. Implementace těchto metod ve FEniCSu jsou potom porovnávány na FSI Turek&Hron benachmarku za použití různých schémat pro časovou integraci a různých délek kroku, stejně tak pro různé hustoty sítě. Pro časovou integraci využíváme PETSc TS adaptivní časový krokovač. V poslední kapitole jsou ukázány 3D experimenty. 1
