V říjnovém šetření CVVM SOÚ AV ČR položilo všem dotázaným několik otázek týkajících se jejich názoru na stávky za klima, tzv. Fridays for Future, což je zároveň i název hnutí, pod jehož hlavičkou tyto protesty probíhají. Jedná se o mezinárodní hnutí žáků a studentů, kteří se rozhodli místo páteční školní výuky účastnit se demonstrací, kterými vyzývají politiky, aby učinili rázná opatření proti globálnímu oteplování a dalším změnám klimatu. V rámci výzkumu jsme zjišťovali názor dotázaných na tyto stávky, zdali vědí, čeho se týkají, zda je podporují, jestli si myslí, že je správné, aby mladí lidé stávkovali místo školního vyučování, nebo jaký mají názor na úspěšnost těchto stávek za klima. In October survey CVVM asked all respondents several questions concerning their opinion on climate strikes, the so-called Fridays for Future, which is also the name of movement under whose heading these protests are taking place. It is an international movement of pupils and students who decided to take part in demonstrations instead of Friday school classes, appealing to politicians to take resolute actions against global warming and other climate changes. In the research, we surveyed respondents on these strikes, whether they know what they mean, whether they endorse them, whether they think it is right that young people to strike instead of school classes, or what they think about the success of these climate strikes.
