Hlavní ambicí této diplomové práce je ilustrovat na několika vybraných příkladech (či spíše téměř "případech" až klinického druhu) z francouzského, ruského, polského, italského (a v druhém plánu vlastně také i německého či anglického) písemnictví 19. a počátku 20. století způsoby aplikace i presentace motivu uzavřenosti v literatuře. A na jejich základě se také (po pokusu o jakési zmapování sítě jejich možných vzájemných vlivů, následnosti, souběžnosti či filiací ve výkladové části práce, tedy kapitolách II. až VI.) pokusit o jeho závěrečné vymezení, periodisaci, klasifikaci a obecnou charakteristiku. … a krom toho, či cestou k tomuto cíli, snad případnému čtenáři poskytnout v rámci celého výkladu i několik málo jiných, snad užitečnějších či zajímavějších informací. And on the basis of them (after attempting to mapping out the network of their possible mutual influences, consequences, concurrency or filiations, in the interpretative part of the thesis, so on the II. to VI. chapter) try to define its final characteristics, periodisation, classification and his general definition. … and, moreover, or on the way to this purpose, perhaps to provide the reader a few other - perhaps more useful, or more interesting - information.
