Jan KOCNA, Vývoj obchodních stezek Maky v období helénistických říší a na počátku principátu, diplomová práce, FF UK, Praha 2019 Předkládaná diplomová práce si dává za cíl analyzovat systém fungování obchodních cest napříč antickou Makou v posledních třech stol. př. Kr. a v prvním stol. po Kr. Region, zahrnující oblasti dnešních Spojených arabských emirátů a severního Ománu, disponoval v cílovém období pestrou škálou (nejen) obchodních kontaktů a představoval klíčovou spojnici mezi Indií, Mezopotámií a vlastní Arábií. Práce v rámci jednotlivých kapitol postupně představí individuální činitele, podílející se na obrazu celkového soukolí, a na základě dostupných informací se pokusí určit roli, jakou makánská střediska hrála v širším systému dálkového obchodu. Pozornost bude taktéž věnována transformaci procesů s dálkovým obchodem obecně spojených, způsobených změnami politických situací v bezprostředním okolí, a reorientaci původně především karavanního obchodu na ten námořní. Mezi sledovanými fenomény budou změny v uspořádání centrálních odbytišť, či změny typů základních komodit a jejich proporčního zastoupení v daných nálezových kontextech. Jan KOCNA, Development of trade routes in Maka during the Hellenistic period and in the early Principate, master's thesis, FF UK, Prague 2019 This master's thesis aims to analyse the trade routes network of ancient Maka during the last three c. BC and first c. AD. In the course of this time frame the discussed region, covering the majority of land area of the contemporary United Arab Emirates and the northern Oman, enjoyed the benefits of a wide range of various cross-cultural and commercial contacts and constituted a key junction between India, Mesopotamia and Arabia proper. In a phased manner, the individual chapters will introduce each of the different elements contributing to the structure of the whole trade apparatus, and, on the basis of available (e. g. archaeological) data, attempt to designate the character of the position of specific Makan centers within the broader system of long-distance trade mechanisms. Both long-distance trade transformation processes emanating from the constant changes in Makan political vicinity and reorientation of originally mostly caravan driven trade to the maritime one will be brought into consideration.
