8. 5. 2019 Abstrakt Diplomová práce Politická a občanská práva na Kubě ve světle Dohody o politickém dialogu a spolupráci mezi Kubou a Evropskou unií Adéla Chamrádová Institut politologických studií, Fakulta sociálních věd, Univerzita Karlova 2018/2019 Diplomová práce se zabývá dodržováním lidských práv na Kubě v souvislosti s Dohodou o politickém dialogu a spolupráci, kterou Kuba uzavřela s Evropskou unií na konci roku 2016. Každá unijní dohoda o obchodu, spolupráci či politickém dialogu se třetími zeměmi musí obsahovat tzv. lidskoprávní klauzuli, která zaručuje, že obě strany budou jednat v souladu s principy lidských práv, demokracie a právního státu. Cílem mé práce proto bude zjistit, zdali na Kubě vlivem této smlouvy skutečně došlo k pokroku v oblasti lidských práv. Zaměřím se na práva politická a občanská, neboť pro jejich nedodržování je Kuba mezinárodním společenstvím dlouhodobě kritizována. Předmětem výzkumu bude svoboda projevu a přesvědčení a právo na pokojné shromažďování a sdružování. 8. 5. 2019 Abstract Diploma thesis Political and Civic Rights in Cuba in the light of the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement between Cuba and the European Union Adéla Chamrádová Institute of Political Science Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University 2018/2019 This diploma thesis is dealing with the compliance of human rights in Cuba related to the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement that Cuba has concluded with the European Union at the end of 2016. Every EU's trade, cooperation or political dialogue agreement with third states has to contain a so-called human rights clause. This clause guarantees that both sides comply with human rights, democracy and the rule of law principles. The objective of my thesis is, therefore, to investigate if Cuba has indeed made a progress in the area of human rights under the influence of this treaty. I focus on political and civic rights, as Cuba continues to be criticized by the international community for their long-term violation. The subject of my research will be freedom of expression and thought and right to peaceful assembly and association.
