Studentka zpracuje monografickou studii o automatických mlýnech bratří Winternitzů v Pardubicích. Předmět své studie nejprve stručně zasadí do kontextu vývoje industriální architektury u nás a v rámci kritického vyrovnání s dosavadní literaturou ukáže, jaké místo má tento segment dějin architektury v její historiografii. Souhrnně exponuje význam Josefa Gočára v české architektuře 20. století. Vznik automatických mlýnů zasadí do kontextu modernizace města. Samotnou stavbu v její prvotní podobě podrobí důkladné formální analýze a charakterizuje ji stylově. V následující kapitole pak bude sledovat její další stavební vývoj. Studie vyústí v analýzu problematiky památkové ochrany industriální architektury po ztrátě původní funkce, vztahu průmyslového a architektonického dědictví a možností revitalizace na příkladu předmětu práce. The subject of the study will be briefly considered in the context of general development of industrial architecture in the Czech lands. The author of the thesis will then explain the importance of the architect Josef Gocar regarding the Czech architecture of the 20th century. Origins of the automated mills will be put into a connection with a modernization of the city. The building itself in its primal form will be described in a thorough formal analysis and the style of the building will be characterized as well. Further development of the site will be watched in the next chapter. The study will then result into an analysis of the problem of a historic preservation concerning industrial architecture after it loses its original function, as well as the relationship between industrial and architectural heritage and the possibility of its revitalization.
