(česky) V rámci své diplomové práce jsem se rozhodl pokračovat v tématu, kterému jsem se věnoval i ve své předchozí bakalářské práci. Jedná se o biografické zpracování některých významných osobností z řad bývalých dobrovolníků z občanské války ve Španělsku v letech 1936-1939 v návaznosti na jejich osudy po roce 1948. Po Osvaldu Závodském jsem se tak rozhodl zpracovat i životní osudy Bohuslava Laštovičky (1905-1981). Bývalý důstojník předmnichovské armády, posléze komunistický novinář, ve Španělsku první velitel Gottwaldovy protiletadlové baterie a za války člen zahraničního vedení KSČ v Londýně. Po osvobození vlasti první ředitel československého rozhlasu, po roce 1948 velvyslanec v Moskvě a poté náměstek ministra obrany, po období útlumu do té doby exponovaných bývalých španělských dobrovolníků v letech politických procesů se v polovině šedesátých let stal předsedou Národního shromáždění, kterým zůstal až do roku 1968. Až do své smrti v roce 1981 pak poslanec Federálního shromáždění. Jeho životopisné zpracování doposud chybělo. Na základě archivních záznamů, odborné literatury, dobového tisku i vzpomínek jeho samotného, jeho rodiny i jeho spolubojovníků jsem si dal za úkol pokusit se zpracovat jeho životní příběh v duchu pozitivistické historiografie s důrazem na archivní prameny. Jak název práce... (in English) In my thesis, I have decided to continue the theme I have already pursued in my previous bachelor's degree research. It consists of biographies of selected outstanding volunteers who took part in the Spanish Civil War in 1936-1939, with a special attention given to their lives after 1948. Following the life story of Osvald Závodský, I have chosen to focus on the life of Bohuslav Laštovička (1905-1981), a former officer of the Army of the First Czechoslovak Republic, and later a Communist journalist and publicist. In Spain, he served as the first commander of the "Gottwald" anti-aircraft division, then he was a member of the leadership of the Czechoslovak Communist Party in London. Following the liberation, he worked as the first director of Czechoslovak Radio. In 1948, he was an ambassador in Moscow, and later a deputy at the Ministry of Defence. After political restrictions during the political trials era, he became a chairman of the National Assembly in the mid-1960s, and remained in this post until 1968. As a member of the Federal Assembly he served until his dead in 1981.
