Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na zjištění postojů žáků českých středních škol ke geneticky modifikovaným organismům (= GMO). Hlavním cílem práce je proto zjistit postoje ke GMO a znalosti žáků o GMO, zjistit, zda existuje souvislost mezi výše zmíněnými postoji a znalostmi žáků; zjistit, zda a jakým způsobem jsou postoje studentů ke GMO ovlivňovány rodinným prostředím (stupeň a zaměření vzdělání otce a matky, náboženství), školním prostředím (učitelé, škola) a místem bydliště. Sběr dat proběhl formou kvantitativní dotazníkové studie u 185 žáků pražských a mimopražských gymnázií z 10 různých tříd. Z mých zjištění vyplývá, že postoje českých žáků ke GMO jsou pozitivní a nejsou ovlivněny pohlavím, vzděláním rodičů, vztahem žáka k biologii, zaměřením plánovaného studia na vysoké škole, ani místem, v němž se nachází jejich škola. Avšak současně byl nalezen statisticky významný rozdíl v případě ovlivnění volnočasovými aktivitami, učitelem, který žáky učí a nákupem biopotravin. V případě znalostí žáka byl nalezen signifikantní rozdíl v případě zaměření vzdělání otce, zaměření plánovaného studia na vysoké škole a vztahu žáka k biologii. Souvislost mezi postoji a znalostmi žáků nebyla nalezena. Součástí práce je také didaktický materiál, který by měl pomoci učitelům s výukou o této problematice bez... The diploma thesis focuses on investigating attitudes of czech high school students toward genetically modified organisms (= GMO). The main objectives of this thesis are to investigate students' attitudes toward, and knowledge of GMO, to find out any relation between attitudes toward, and knowledge of GMO. I found out if there is any relation between students' attitudes toward GMO and other factors like family environment (level and type of eduction of parents, religion), school environment (teachers who teach students, school) or place of residence. Data colletion was carried out by quantitative questionnaire survey among 185 Czech students of Prague's and out-of-town's grammar schools from 10 different classes. My findings show that the attitudes of Czech students toward GMO are positive and are not influenced by gender, parents' education, the students' attitudes toward biology, type of students' planned studies at university or the location of their school. However, at the same time, a statistically significant difference was found in the case of free-time activities, the teacher who teaches students and the purchase of organic food.
