Práce se zabývá politikou aktivního otcovství v České a Slovenské republice. Cílem práce je srovnat zapojení otců do péče o děti a politiku aktivního otcovství v těchto zemích. Dále pak zmapovat typy podpory aktivního otcovství, které zde můžeme nalézt, jejich historický vývoj a legislativní ukotvení v obou zemích. Konkrétní opatření jsou zasazena do rodinných politik. Zajímám se také o postoje občanů k většímu zapojení otců do péče. Jedná se o komparaci dvou případových studií (ČR, SR), současný stav politik je zjišťován prostřednictvím expertních dotazníků. Dotazováni byli experti na danou oblast z obou zemí. Výsledky výzkumu ukazují, že ačkoli se počet mužů pobírajících rodičovský příspěvek v zemích moc neliší, Slovenská republika postrádá dávku poporodní otcovské péče, která by znamenala obrovský posun dopředu. V České republice je navíc rodinná politika více orientovaná na větší zapojení otců do péče, v současné době je diskutován motivační bonus, který by zvýšil počet mužů na rodičovské dovolené. V závěru jsou uvedeny příklady dobré praxe z Evropy, kterými by se obě země měli řídit. The thesis deals with the active fatherhood policy in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The aim of the thesis is to compare fathers' involvement in childcare and active fatherhood policies in these countries. Then to map the types of measures to support active fatherhood that we can find here, their historical development and legislative anchorages in both countries. Specific measures are embedded in family policies. I am also interested in citizens' attitudes towards greater involvement of fathers in childcare. It is a comparison of two case studies (CR, SR), the current state of the policies is surveyed through expert questionnaires. The interviewees were experts on the area from both countries. The results of the research show us that, although the number of men receiving parental allowance in the countries is not much different, the Slovak Republic lacks the benefit of paternal postnatal care, which would mean a huge advance. In addition, family policy in the Czech Republic is more geared to a greater involvement of fathers, and a motivational bonus is currently being discussed to increase the number of men on parental leave. In the end, there are examples of good practice from Europe that both countries should follow.
