Pochopení principu depozice aerosolu v plicním fantomu, respektive v lidských plicích, výrazně pomůže urychlit výzkum cílené dopravy léčiv do plic.
This work deals with analysis of aerosol deposition in lung phantom using PET / CT images. Lung phantom is a model of real lungs that helps to research a targeted drug delivery to the human respiratory tract. Understanding the principle of aerosol deposition in pulmonary phantom or human lungs will significantly help to accelerate research of targeted drug delivery. The theoretical part is focused on the description of the human lungs, the ways of their examination and the description of the pulmonary phantom, which is the subject of this bachelor thesis. Furthermore, the theoretical part is devoted to the work with medical images and their processing. Practical part deals with segmentation of PET/CT data, classification of this data into individual segments and quantification of aerosol in individual parts of the lung phantom.
