Studie se pokouší ukázat skrytou podstatu současných a minulých sporů o budoucnost Šumavy a konfliktů člověka a přírody v šumavské krajině. Ukazuje se, že šumavská krajina je nejen dědictvím přírodním, ale také dědictvím evropských představ o harmonii člověka a přírody. Aim of the study is to show hidden part of discussion about the future of National park Sumava Mts. Using the sociology concept of constructivism we can see the heritage of Sumava Mts. as natural patterns, but also as a heritage of European ideals concern harmony of man and nature.
