Předkládaná diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku specifik sociální práce s romskou mládeží. První kapitolu práce představují teoretická východiska, která se dělí na dvě části. První část se zabývá romskou menšinou, jejími zvyky, historií, kulturou a následně romskou mládeží a jejími sociálními problémy. Druhá sekce teoretické části je zaměřena na sociální práci. Tyto poznatky byly zpracovány z odborné literatury. Pro výzkumnou část byla zvolena kvalitativní strategie, metoda dotazování a technika polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Výzkum probíhal v Jihočeském kraji, zde byli osloveni sociální pracovníci zaměstnaní v nízkoprahovém zařízení pro děti a mládež (dále také NZDM) nebo v komunitním centru, kteří se setkávají s romskou mládeží. Se spoluprací souhlasilo celkem deset pracovníků. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jaká specifika sociální práce zaznamenávají sociální pracovníci při práci s romskou mládeží. S ohledem na cíl byly formulovány výzkumné otázky, které se zaměřují na to, jaká specifika vidí sociální pracovníci v sociální práci s romskou mládeží, zda se objevují rozdíly, jestliže tuto práci provádí muž, nebo žena, a jaké metody a techniky sociální pracovníci používají. Z provedeného výzkumu vyplynulo, že pracovníci vidí specifičnost v individuálním přístupu ke každému klientovi, navázání a následném udržení důvěrného vztahu nebo v nastavení pravidel. Většina pracovníků se shodla, že muži i ženy jsou v tomto oboru velice důležití, protože každý předává klientům jiný vzor. Určité rozdíly vidí ve větší poslušnosti a lehčím získání autority, pokud je sociálním pracovníkem muž. Za nejčastěji používané metody označili skupinou práci, komunitní práci, terénní práci a přístup orientovaný na klienta a na úkoly. This diploma thesis focuses on the problematic of the specifics of social work with Roma youth. The first chapter contains theoretical basis, which divides into two parts. The first part deals with the Roma minority, its customs, history, culture and then also Roma youth and their social problems. The second section of the theoretical part is devoted to social work. These findings were processed from the professional literature. For the research part of the thesis, a qualitative strategy was chosen, as well as the questioning method and the technique of semi-structured interview. The research was conducted in the South Bohemian region, there were contacted social workers who work in a low-threshold institutions for youth or in a community centre and meet Roma youth. Overall ten workers agreed with cooperation. The aim of the thesis was to find out which specifics of social works do the social workers notice when working with Roma youth. Regarding this aim, research questions were set, focusing on which specifics do the social workers see in the social work with Roma youth, if there occur differences according to whether the work is carried out by a woman or a man, and also what are the techniques and methods used by the workers. From the research emerged, that the workers see the specificity in individual approach to every client, establishing and then maintaining of a confidential relationship, or in setting the rules. Most of the workers agreed, that both men and women are very important in this job, because every one of them is a different role model. However, they see some differences in better obedience and easier gain of authority, in case the social worker is a man. They also listed group work, community work, terrain work, various tasks and client-oriented approach.
