V souladu se změnami poptávky ze strany účastníků cestovního ruchu se prosazují nové trendy i v jeho nabídce. Rozvíjí se celá řada alternativních směrů. Jedním z nich je kulinářský (gastro) turismus. Cílem práce je popsat základní charakteristiky, vývoj a motivace pro vznik této formy jak na globální úrovni, tak i na úrovni jihočeského regionu. Vymezuje základní pojmy v této oblasti, popisuje historii vzniku tohoto trendu, akce, organizace, projekty, které tento trend podporují. Tato práce na základě mapových výstupů ukazuje, kolik podnikatelských subjektů působí v našem regionu, dále jaké mají jejich majitelé zkušenosti v oblasti spojení gastronomie a cestovního ruchu a zda by pro ně bylo výhodné se na tuto oblast více zaměřit. Ukazuje zároveň i povědomí a zájem lidí, potenciálních zákazníků, o tuto oblast. Práce zkoumá, zda rostoucí potenciál tohoto trendu v cestovním ruchu ve světě, je možné více uplatnit i v našem regionu a zda poznat cizí zemi znamená tuto zemi i ochutnat.. Proto jsou součástí této práce i nové návrhy a strategie pro tuto oblast, které by pomohly zvýšit počet návštěvníků v našem regionu. According to the changes in demand of tourism participants, contemporary trends are being constantly developed. One of them is a culinary tourism gastrotourism. Among the basic characteristics of the trend development is also motivation to bring such experience to the regional level. A description of history, a foundation of similar projects, organisations, and various events explain the initial idea. I addition, a descriptive mapping shows the number of entrepreneurs providing this service in the South Bohemian region. The combination of tourism and gastronomy is presented based on the providers' experience as well as the analysis of future outcome for such. It also reveals the subconscious public knowledge and potential customers awareness of this trend. The work investigates the growth potential of the trend in the world and its application in regional level; visiting a foreign country might also mean tasting it. Therefore, new proposition and strategies provided can increase regional tourism.
