This paper describes an experimental study of bifurcating jets using PIV method. Principle of PIV method is shortly explained, and the present experimental set up (mainly settings of the laser and measurement system) is described. Second part of this paper discusses results, which are shown as vector and scalar maps of the flow. Tato práce popisuje experimentální výzkum bifurkačního proudu pomocí PIV metody. Nejprve je stručně vysvětlen princip metody a uspořádání experimentu. Poté jsou diskutovány výsledky měření v podobě vektorových a skalárních map proudového pole.
