Tato práce se soustřeďuje na film Konec srpna v hotelu Ozon, zkoumá jej ze scenáristického a kulturního hlediska, se zřetelem na tehdejší obavu z jaderné války. S přispěním malého exkurzu k dobovým podobným zahraničním snímkům se snaží rozhodnout, jaký je jeho význam v české kultuře a zdali má potenciál promluvit i k dnešnímu diváku. Late August at the Hotel Ozone and the end of Life on planet Earth This text is focused on film Konec srpna v hotelu Ozon, researching it from screenwriting and cultural points of view, concerning fear of nuclear war at that time. It efforts to find out its importance to Czech culture and potential to speak to today's spectator, also according to little digression to a few similar foreign 1960's films.
