eng Abstract:
[eng][cze] We consider a time-to-failure of a technical object or system and a special model of its abrupt degradation caused by a random shock. It is assumed that the consequence of such an event is the shift of 'virtual' age of the object forward, i.e. the reduction of its survival time. We present a method of statistical analysis of the case, maximum likelihood estimation and the consistency of the shift estimate under both parametric (e.g. Weibull) and non-parametrized models of time-to-failure. The examples deal with simulated as well as with the real-case.
