Autorka uvádí faktory extralingvistické (mimojazykové) povahy, které ovlivnily/determinovaly rozdíl mezi normou spisovné češtiny a normou češtiny běžně mluvené - mezi nimi hrála důležitou úlohu především soudobá jazyková teorie.
