The work is focused on developing testing methods for investigating of the deformation mechanisms of magnesium alloys. The work involves the measurement of in-situ acoustic emission and neutron diffraction and comparison to the theoretical models. Mg + 1wt.% Zr alloy was selected for investigation of the compression - tension asymmetry. Advanced analysis of acoustic emission and neutron diffraction data revealed activation of different slip systems during deformation. Moreover, the different evolution of twinning was explained. The same methods were used to investigate the aluminum influence on deformation mechanisms. The hardening of basal slip and twinning and increasing importance of prismatic slip was observed. Práce je zaměřena na výzkum deformačních vlastností polykrystalických hořčíkových slitin. Součástí práce jsou in-situ měření neutronové difrakce a akustické emise a srovnání experimentálních výsledků s teoretickými modely. Slitina Mg + 1hm.% Zr byla použita pro výzkum asymetrického chování při tahové a tlakové deformaci. Pokročilá analýza dat akustické emise a neutronové difrakce odhalila aktivaci různých skluzových systémů během deformace. Rovněž bylo vysvětleno rozdílný vývoj dvojčatění. Stejné metody byly použity pro výzkum vlivu hliníkových příměsí na deformační vlastnosti. Bylo zjištěno vytvrzování bazální roviny, vyšší napětí nutné pro nukleaci dvojčat a výraznější aktivita prismatického skluzu s rostoucím obsahem hliníku.
