[cze][eng] Tato práce se zabývá rolí akustických vodítek a signálů v roli výběru partnera u lidí. Začíná stručným shrnutím mechanismů pohlavního výběru a akustické komunikace u primátů. Další část se zaměřuje především na lidský hlas a jeho atraktivitu. Konečně je diskutována i možná role zpěvu a hudby v pohlavním výběru u lidí a jsou shromážděny doklady pro hypotézu o vzniku hudby pohlavním výběrem. It starts with a brief summary of mechanisms of sexual selection and acoustic communication in primates. The next part is focused mainly on human voice and its attractiveness. Finally, the possible role of singing and music in human sexual selection is discussed and evidence for the sexual selection hypothesis of music is gathered.
