Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem metodiky psaní levou rukou, čerpáním z metodik v praxi základního vzdělávání, zkoumáním dostupných materiálů na téma levorukosti určených učitelům a rodičům žáků a popisem postupů a názorů na metodiku psaní levou rukou konkrétních učitelů základních škol. Charakter práce je teoreticko-výzkumný. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny termíny lateralita a dominance, dále je popsán vývoj metodiky psaní levou rukou od roku 1967, kdy došlo k legalizaci tohoto způsobu psaní. Shrnuty jsou možnosti získávaní informací o problematice leváctví včetně knižních zdrojů a školení určených pro učitele 1. stupně základních škol. V závěru jsou popsány dostupné pomůcky pro žáky píšící levou rukou. Výzkum kombinuje dvě metody - dotazník a rozhovor. Kvantitativní šetření má zajistit konkretizaci počtu leváků na prvním stupni základních škol a obecné poznatky týkající se přístupu pedagogů k levorukým žákům. Kvalitativní šetření bylo provedeno formou rozhovoru s pedagogy 1. stupně základních škol a Ivem Vodičkou. Cílem práce je zmapovat konkrétní postupy pedagogů při práci s leváky, znalost metodik psaní levou rukou, míru vyškolenosti pedagogů a na základě získaných dat navrhnout řešení efektivního vzdělávání učitelů primárních škol v oblasti leváctví. The thesis follows the development of the methodology of left-handers's writing, teacher's usage of the knowledge of methodology in a practice, researching the materials aimed in left- handness dedicated to teachers and parents, describing statements and opinions of the concrete primary teachers on left-hander's methodology. The thesis consists of the theoretical part and the empiric part. In the therotical part there are defined terms laterality and dominance, the development of the methodology of left-hander's writing since the year 1967 when this type of writing was legalised in the Czech Republic. The possibilities of getting information about the problematic of left-handness are summed, including books and trainings for primary school teachers. Finally, available equipment for left-handers is introduced. The research combines two methods - questionnaire and interview. The quantitative research is supposed to come up with the concrete percentage of left-handed pupils and with the general knowledge of teachers connected with methodology of left-hander's writing. The qualitative research was made by the form of interiewing teachers and Ivo Vodička. The aim of the thesis is to find out the way how to train teachers effectively based on researched information.
