V příspěvku jsou prezentovány předběžné výsledky výzkumu tempa (nej)starších mluvčích. Zejména je poukázáno na to, jak pomalejší tempo starších mluvčích ovlivňuje jejich možnosti aktivně se podílet na vedení rozhovoru s mladší komunikantkou/komunikantem. This paper presents the preliminary findings of an ongoing study of the specific aspects of the speech tempo of older speaker, showing the impact of slower speech rate on their opportunities to participate in the conversation with their younger co-speakers.
