Tato práce se zaměřuje na zhodnocení ekonomické situace španělského autonomního společenství Katalánsko, jeho postavení ve Španělském království i Evropské unii a kooperaci s rezidenty České republiky. Cílem této práce je kromě shrnutí dosavadního vývoje také analýza potenciálu a atraktivity oblasti a návrh možností budoucího vývoje ve vztahu k ČR. Nejprve jsou v bakalářské práci uvedeny nejpodstatnější informace o Katalánsku, včetně historického vývoje a demografické i politické charakterizace. Následující část se zabývá rozborem hospodářské situace regionu a popisem faktorů, které mohou mít vliv na investiční rozhodování. Celková atraktivita regionu je shrnuta prostřednictvím SWOT analýzy. Dále se práce věnuje obchodní a politické spolupráci Katalánska v rámci EU a obdrženým prostředkům ze strukturálních fondů. Na závěr je zhodnocen význam tohoto autonomního společenství jakožto partnera České republiky z hlediska obchodních a investičních vztahů. The thesis focuses on the evaluation of the economic situation of the Spanish Autonomous Community of Catalonia, its position in the Kingdom of Spain and the European Union and cooperation with residents of the Czech Republic. In addition to the summary of past development, this thesis also aims to analyse the potential and attractiveness of the area and to propound possibilities of future development in relation to the Czech Republic. Firstly, the bachelor's thesis presents the most important information about Catalonia, including historical development and demographic and political characterization. The following section deals with the analysis of the economic situation of the region and the description of factors which may influence investment decisions. The overall attractiveness of the area is summarized by SWOT analysis. The thesis additionally focuses on the trade and political cooperation of Catalonia within the EU and on received structural funds. Lastly, the significance of the Autonomous Community as a partner of the Czech Republic in terms of trade and investment is evaluated.
