Autor se v článku zabývá úlohou, již testamenty hrály v procesu distribuce dědictví, a zpochybňuje zdánlivě výsostnou roli testamentů jakožto historického pramene, a současně připomíná nezbytnost kontextuální interpretace posledních vůlí. An article dealing with the role of noble last will the process of ordering of inheritance, impeaches the seemingly exceptional role of the last will as a source of information and – on the other hand – emphasizes the necessity of contextual interpretation of last wills.
