Práce je zaměřena na profesní etiku a dilemata v práci sociálního pracovníka ve veřejné správě/sociálního kurátora pro dospělé. Hlavním cílem bylo odhalit, jaké situace sociální pracovníci ve své práci považují za eticky dilematické, jak je prožívají a jaké volí strategie zvládání těchto situací a kde hledají zdroje podpory pro své rozhodování. Přehledová část práce představuje téma hodnot sociální práce a hodnoty sociálních pracovníků. Blíže se věnuje pojmu spravedlnosti a sociální spravedlnosti, se kterým mimo jiné pracují etické kodexy jako jednou ze základních hodnot sociální práce. Profesní hodnoty sociální práce zkoumá prostřednictvím analýzy etických dokumentů - etických kodexů. Ve výzkumné části práce je proveden kvalitativní výzkum pomocí hloubkových rozhovorů mezi sociálními pracovníky ve veřejné správě. Cílem výzkumu je odhalit, jaké pracovní situace vnímají sociální pracovníci jako eticky dilematické, jakým způsobem je prožívají, jaké volí strategie při zvládání těchto situací. Hlavní výsledky výzkumu poukazují na to, že sociální pracovníci jako dilemata vnímají zejména ty situace, kdy je pro ně v daných podmínkách obtížné rozhodovat v souladu s vlastními hodnotami. The thesis is focuse on professional ethics and ethical dilemmas in the work of a social worker in public administration / probation officer for adults. The main object was to find out what social workers consider as ethical dilemmas, how they are experiencing these situations, which strategies they choose to cope with these and what sources of support do they have. The overview part of the thesis is focused on a topic of values of social work and values of social workers. Overview part gives more attention to conception of justice and social justice, with which, among other documents, the codes of ethics work as one of the fundamental values of social work. It examines the professional values of social work by analyzing ethical documents - ethical codes. Research part of the thesis is based on qualitative research carried out through in-depth interviews with social workers in public administration. The objection of the research was to find out what professional situations social workers consider as ethical dilemmas, how they experience them, what strategies they choose to manage these situations and what sources of support do they have.
