Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá procesem denormalizace kouření a možných nezamýšlených, negativních důsledků v podobě stigmatizace kuřáků. Fenomén denormalizace kouření je v posledních dekádách společný pro zdravotní politiku drtivé většiny západních a evropských států, včetně České republiky. Sleduje mimo jiné snížení společenské přijatelnosti kouření a snížení počtu kuřáků. Ve své práci nejprve zkoumám proces, dopady a nástroje těchto strategií a poté představuji teorii stigmatizace kuřáků, která rezonuje v posledních letech v odborné diskuzi v zahraničí. Tato teorie představuje možná rizika spojená s vytvářením atmosféry sociální nepřijatelnosti kouření, které mohou vést ke ztrátě účinnosti podobných opatření a výraznému zhoršení životní situace kuřáků. Kvalitativním výzkumem na souboru 15 respondentů zkoumám vnímání společenské atmosféry v přístupu ke kouření, vnímání přijímaných politických opatření a zkušenosti s reakcemi okolí z pohledu kuřáků. Analýzou dat pak hledám případné negativní důsledky, v podobě příznaků stigmatizace kuřáků. Pro jejich rozpoznání mi kromě představeného konceptu stigmatizace slouží i příznaky, které byly pozorovány ve výzkumech z jiných zemí, s nimiž sdílíme směr této politické strategie a s nimi spojená přijímaná opatření. This bachelor thesis deals with process of denormalization of smoking and possible unintended, negative consequences as stigmatization of smokers. The phenomenon of denormalization of smoking is common for health policy of the vast majority of Western a European states, included Czech republic, over the last decades. It monitors, among other things, reducing the social acceptability of smoking and reducing the number of smokers. In my work, I first examine the process, impacts and tools of these strategies, and then present the theory of stigmatization of smokers, which resonates in recent years in a professional discussion abroad. This theory presents the potential risks associated with creating an atmosphere of social unacceptability of smoking that can lead to a loss of effectiveness of similar measures and a marked deterioration in the life situation of smokers. Qualitative reasearch on a group of 15 respondents examines the perception of social atmposhere in the aproach to smoking, the perception of adopted policy measures and experience with reactions of others, from the point of view of smokers. By analyzing the data then I look for possible negative consequences in the form of stigmatization symptoms of smokers.
