Tato bakalářská práce mapuje ohlas dvou životopisných autorských knih Petra Síse v médiích. Konkrétně byly zvoleny tituly Strom života a Pilot a Malý princ. Nejprve se práce zabývá literárním vymezením těchto titulů, poté nastiňuje život a tvorbu autora. Přiložen je také rozhovor s Petrem Sísem, jehož pojem je v jedné z kapitol teoreticky vysvětlen. Bakalářská práce představuje i významná ocenění v oblasti knih pro děti a mládež, které autor za svou tvorbu získal, mezi něž patří i ocenění Hanse Christiana Andersena za celoživotní dílo. Poslední kapitola bakalářské práce se věnuje samotnému ohlasu obou životopisných autorských knih Petra Síse v médiích. Výsledků bylo dosaženo metodou kvalitativní analýzy. Práce se nesoustředí pouze na recenze v médiích, ale nabízí kompletní přehled mediálních zmínek o obou titulech. K nalezení zkoumaného vzorku posloužily elektronické databáze Newton Media SEARCH a EBSCOhost, rešerše časopisů a novin v Národní knihovně České republiky, internetových archivů a čtenářských webů. Petr Sís dlouhodobě žije ve Spojených státech amerických, proto byla analyzována i americká média. This bachelor thesis maps the coverage of Peter Sis's two biographical author books in media. In particular, the Tree of Life and the Pilot and the Little Prince have been chosen. Firstly, the thesis focuses on the literary definition of these works, then outlines the life and artworks of the author. An interview with Petr Sís is also included and is theoretically explained in one of the chapters. This bachelor thesis introduces some important prizes in the field of books for children and youngsters, which the author has gained for his work. For example, the Hans Christian Andersen Award for lifetime achievement is mentioned there. The last chapter of this bachelor thesis focuses on the Tree of Life and the Pilot and the Little Prince and their media coverage. The results were achieved with the qualitative method of analysis. This thesis does not only focus on book reviews but also provides complete overview of media coverage of both mentioned books. Newton Media SEARCH and EBSCOhost electronic databases, magazines and newspapers in the National Library of the Czech Republic, web archives and reader's websites served to find the examined sample. Due to the fact that Peter Sis currently lives in the United States of America, the US media have been analyzed, too.
