Diplomová práce se zabývá číselnou osou jako prostředkem, který může zlepšit žákovo chápání mnohých matematických pojmů, struktur, vlastností a algoritmů. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak dokáží žáci 2. stupně ZŠ pracovat na číselné ose a získané výsledky vztáhnout k obsahu učebnic. Práce obsahuje teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část uvádí do problematiky číselné osy, věnuje se úlohám používaným pro testování v České republice a uvádí některé výzkumy zaměřené na číselnou osu. Teoretická část práce spolu s analýzou současného stavu využití číselné osy ve vyučování, která je součástí praktické části práce, tvoří podklad pro výzkumné šetření v praktické části. Po pilotním šetření s 19 žáky proběhlo výzkumné šetření v 7 třídách 2. stupně dvou pražských škol. Celkem se výzkumu účastnilo 156 žáků, kterým byl zadán test. Následně byly provedeny rozhovory nad testem s 8 žáky. Výsledky jsou zpracovány v praktické části práce. Ukázalo se, že existuje souvislost mezi obsahem učebnic a chybami žáků při práci na číselné ose a že žáci mají problém znázornit na číselné ose zlomky. Práce je uzavřena doporučeními pro práci učitele s číselnou osou. KLÍČOVÁ SLOVA číselná osa, žák 2. stupně, chyba, desetinná čísla, zlomky, celá čísla This diploma thesis deals with the number line as a tool to improve pupil's understanding of various mathematical concepts, structures, properties and algorithms. The aim of the thesis is to determine how are lower secondary pupils able to use the number line and to connect findings with the content of their textbooks. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part introduces the topic of number line, deals with the problems used for testing in the Czech Republic and presents several researches on this topic. The theoretical part, together with the analysis of current state of the number line usage in teaching, serves as a basis for an experimental investigation that is covered in the practical part. After a pilot testing with 19 pupils, the main testing was conducted in 7 classes of two Prague primary schools. The total of 156 pupils participated in the main testing and 8 of the pupils were later interviewed about their tests. The results are presented in the practical part. It turned out that there is a correspondence between textbook content and pupils' errors while working with number line and that pupils struggle with representing of fractions on the number line.
