Diplomová práce se zabývá pěveckými a instrumentálními soubory, které fungují na hudebním oboru ZUŠ Fr. Kmocha v Kolíně. Je zde zaznamenána jejich historie, úsilí dirigentů, sbormistrů a práce souborů. Popsána je zejména koncertní, soutěžní činnost a ostatní aktivity od jejich založení. Práce se také zaměřuje na spolupráci souborů s jinými tělesy a na vliv a funkci souborů nejen v Kolíně, ale také v okolních městech. Pro úplnost dokumentu zmiňuji absolventy školy, kteří prošli těmito soubory a rozhodli se hudbu studovat na středních či vysokých uměleckých školách, a absolventy, kteří se nadále věnují orchestrální, či souborové hře mimo základní uměleckou školu. To record their history, endeavours and the efforts of their conductors and choirmasters. For the sake of completeness I do also mention the graduates who went through these ensembles and then decided to study the music at high schools or at universities and also those who remain dedicated to orchestral and group performing even after finishing the primary school.
