Souhrn Cíl: Zhodnotit a porovnat stupeň opacifikací zadního pouzdra čočky (PCO - Posterior Capsule Opacification) u dvou souborů pacientů po operaci katarakty s použitím dvou typů softwaru. Design: Prospektivní klinické hodnocení. Metodika: Předoperačně jsme u pacientů vyšetřovali nejlépe korigovanou zrakovou ostrost (NKZO) na Snellenových optotypech, objektivní stav oka na štěrbinové lampě, keratometrii a axiální délku bulbu. V prvním souboru byla použita na pravém oku fakoemulsifikační metoda AquaLase, na levém oku metoda NeoSoniX u každého z pacientů s oboustrannou kataraktou. Stejná hydrofobní akrylátová umělá nitrooční čočka (IOL) AcrySof SA60AT (Alcon Laboratories, Fort Worth, Texas, USA) byla implantována do všech očí a hodnocení probíhalo během osmiletého sledování. Ve druhém souboru byla použita metoda torzní fakoemulzifikace OZil a implantována hydrofobně-hydrofilní nitrooční čočka EriFlex 877 FAB (Videris, ČR). Hodnocení druhého souboru proběhlo 1 rok po operaci katarakty. Kvantifikace PCO byla provedena s využitím subjektivního hodnocení PCO - EPCO 2000 software (Evaluation of Posterior Capsule Opacification) a objektivním hodnocením PCO systémem OSCA (Open-Access Systematic Capsule Assessment) s otevřeným přístupem. Výsledky: V prvním souboru bylo zhodnoceno 37 pacientů. Osm let po operaci... Research of the secondary cataract, the possibilities of it's prevention by the choice of surgical techniques and intraocular implants Summary Aim: To compare the degree of posterior capsule opacification (PCO) in two groups of patients after cataract surgery using two types of software. Design: Prospective clinical trial. Methods: Best corrected visual acuity vas evaluated using Snellen optotypes, biomicroscopy of the eye on the slit lamp, keratometry and axial length was measured preoperatively. AquaLase was used in the right eye and NeoSoniX in the left eye of each patient in the first group. The same hydrophobic acrylic artificial intraocular lens AcrySof SA60 (Alcon Laboratories, Fort Worth, Texas, USA) was implanted in all eyes, and evaluation was conducted during eight-year follow-up. Torsional mode (OZil) phacoemulsification was used in the second group and hydrophobic-hydrophilic intraocular lens EriFlex FAB 877 (Videris, CZ) was implanted. Evaluation of the second group was performed 1 year after cataract surgery. PCO quantification was done using a subjective PCO software - EPCO 2000 (Evaluation of Posterior Capsule opacification) and objective system - OSCA (Open-Access Systematic Capsule Assessment) with open access.
