cze Abstract:
This text analyses selected affairs that shaped the relations between Great Britain and Germany in years preceding the Great War: since the very beginning of the 1890s until the outbreak of the War. It also depicts both countries in matters of constitution, domestic politics, economy, army, navy and selected affairs of their international relations that influenced the country's international politics. The main source for writing this text was history books by mostly Czech and Anglo-Saxon authors. A collection of state documents and papers was used as a source, as well as some newspaper articles.
