Technická univerzita v Drážďanech pod patronací UNEP a UNESCO organizuje v rámci projektu „International Postgraduate Course on Environmental Management for Developing and Emerging Countries“ půlroční postgraduální studijní program (viz http://www.tu-dresden.de/cipsem/). Půlroční mezinárodní postgraduální studium je zaměřené na management životního prostředí a je určeno zástupcům z „rozvíjejících se a perspektivních zemí“. Pravidelnou součástí postgraduálního studia jsou týdenní Praktická cvičení v ekologickém plánování, která se konají na území České republiky. Od roku 1984 se na tomto projektu aktivně podílí i Ústav krajinné ekologie (od 1. 7. 2005 Ústav systémové biologie a ekologie) Akademie věd ČR, se sídlem v Českých Budějovicích. IPSEM courses have been held at TU Dresden since 1977, thus they are based on vast experience. During more than twenty years, the 6-month course on integrated environmental management is offered on different specific environment related subjects. The course curricula concentrate on a broad and interdisciplinary conveyance of knowledge and acquisition of skills. Since 1984 a part of the course is one week lasting Practical studies in ecological planning organizing by Institute of Landscape Ecology (today Institute of Systems Biology and Ecology) the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. After twenty years of experiences with organizing the Practical studies the authors see that most necessary by providing this course is the dialogue between experts and participants and followed feedback. Technical solution on particular environmental problems is then logical issue.
