Georeliéf významně ovlivnil sídelní strukturu raně středověkého rezidenčního areálu, který se v 9. stol. formoval na východní výspě hradčanského hřbetu. Podmínil rozsah a členění areálu, vedení komunikací a opevnění nebo vnitřní organizaci prostoru. Práce podává přehled o stavu a výpovědi publikovaných pramenů zabývajících se tematikou vztahu raně středověkého osídlení Pražského hradu k reliéfu. Digitální rekonstrukce původního reliéfu představuje hradčanský ostroh jako protáhlý úzký hřbet zbrázděný na svazích několika erozními rýhami, polohu s nevýhodnou morfologií vyžadující od počátku osídlení terénní úpravy. Podobu původního reliéfu vysvětluje geologická stavba území podrobně popsaná a přehledně zobrazená v geologické mapě. Vstupní data pro rekonstrukci jsou uvedena v soupisu a zobrazena v mapě dokumentačních bodů. Vývoj antropogenního reliéfu v raném středověku demonstrují příklady řešené ve třech vybraných částech hradu a proměna celého areálu je zachycen na modelu terénu kolem r. 1200. Práce stručně shrnuje současné poznatky o vývoji reliéfu v raně středověké pražské aglomeraci s ohledem na společný rozvoj osídlení malostranské kotliny, Pražského hradu a Hradčan. Pražský hrad - raný středověk - georeliéf - digitální model terénu The structure of the residential area, which began to develop in the eastern part of the Hradčany ridge in the 9th century, was determined by the original physical relief. Physical geography has shaped the extent and the division of the area, the network of ways and the fortification or the inner space structuring. This work offers an overview of the state of the art, of the evidence of the published sources concerning the relation between the early medieval settlement of Prague Castle and the original physical relief. The digital reconstruction presents the Hradčany ridge as an oblong, narrow spur grooved on the slopes by erosion gullies, as a site with unsuitable morphology which from the beginning of settlement required adjustments of the terrain. The original shape of the relief can be explained by the geological structure of the site which is described in detail and shown on a geological map. The data for the reconstruction are listed and shown on a map of measurement points. The later anthropogenic development of the relief in the Early Middle Ages is demonstrated on examples from three parts of the castle and the change of the whole area is represented by a model of the terrain in about AD 1200.
