Název práce: Referenční hodnoty indexu svalové hmoty a síly stisku ruky korigované BMI pro děti od 4-12 let v závislosti na pohlaví v České republice. Cíle práce: Cílem této práce bylo vytvoření referenčních hodnot síly stisku ruky v závislosti na body mass indexu (BMI) a referenčních hodnot indexu svalové hmoty (SMI) pro dětskou populaci v České republice. Metoda práce: Celkem 442 dětí z pěti míst v České republice se zúčastnilo studie, ve které k měření tělesné kompozice byla použita bioimpedanční analýza a izometrický handgrip dynamometr byl použit k měření síly stisku ruky. Výsledky práce: Byly vytvořeny referenční hodnoty pro sílu stisku ruky korigované BMI a SMI ve formě percentilových nomogramů v závislosti na věku pro děti od 4 do12 let pro dívky a chlapce zvláště. Závěr: Síla stisku ruky korigovaná BMI téměř lineárně stoupala s věkem u obou pohlaví právě tak jako SMI. Chlapci vykazovali v obou sledovaných proměnných vyšší úroveň, nicméně statisticky významný rozdíl byl nalezen pouze u SMI. Objectives: The main aim of this study was to create reference values for handgrip strength dependent on body mass index (BMI) and for skeletal muscle index (SMI) among children in the Czech republic. Methods: 442 children participated in this study realized in five different places of the Czech republic. There were used bioelectrical impedance analysis to body composition and isometric handgrip dynamometer to handgrip strength measurements. Results: Reference values of handgrip strength dependent on body mass index (BMI) and skeletal muscle index (SMI) were calculated. Percentile nomograms for both genders separately are provided according to age from 4 to 12. Conclusion: Handgrip strength dependent on BMI as well as SMI increased with age in both genders. Boys showed higher level in both variables, nevertheless, the only in SMI there was a statistically significant difference. Keywords: Handgrip strength, skeletal muscle mass, BMI, SMI
