Obecným cílem Centra je podstatným způsobem přispět k rozvoji teoretické, algoritmické a programové základny pro řešení řady problémů spjatých s rozhodováním ve složitých reálných situacích, zejména při rozhodování založeném na různých zdrojích a dat. Hlavní teoretické směry, ve kterých bude výzkum probíhat: 1) získávání a reprezentace znalostí, 2) rozhodování, 3) zpracování více-rozměných signálů a rozpoznávání obrazů, 4) soft computing a fuzzy modelování. Global aim of the Centre is to contribute substantially to development of a theoretical, algortihmic and software background for solution of real life problems, above all decision-making in complex situation based on different sources of knowledge and data. Determine the main theoretical areas of the research: 1) Knowledge acquisition and representation, 2) Decision-making, 3) Multidimensional signal processing and pattern recognition, 4) Sof somputing and fuzzy modelling.
