Bakalářská práce má formu komentovaného překladu vybraného francouzského textu do češtiny. Tvoří ji dvě části. První, praktický oddíl, představuje samotný překlad celé druhé a začátku třetí kapitoly populárně-naučné publikace Jeux olympiques: La flamme de l'exploit pojednávající o historii olympijských her od autorky Françoise Hache-Bissettové. Druhá, teoretická část, se pak sestává z odborného komentáře, jenž zahrnuje podrobnou překladatelskou analýzu výchozího textu (zaměřující se na vnitrotextové a vnětextové faktory originálu), stanovení metody překladu, popis použitých překladatelských postupů a pojednání o typologii překladatelských problémů. V komentáři jsou z výchozího a cílového textu uváděny konkrétní příklady. This bachelor thesis is a commented translation of a chosen French text into Czech. It is consisted of two parts. The first section is a translation of the second and part of the third chapters of a non-fiction text, Jeux olympiques: La flamme de l'exploit, that is about the history of the Olympic Games written by Françoise Hache-Bissette. The second, theoretical part, includes commentary that is consisted of detailed translation analysis of the text (focusing on intrertextual and extratextual factors of the original), translation strategy, description of the used translation procedures and typology of the translation aspects. The commentary deals with the specific examples that are taken from the original and the translated text.
