Slow journalism je trend, který se vymezuje proti současným žurnalistickým podobám. Jde o novinařinu, která se nesnaží za každou cenu dostat jako první k senzacím, nýbrž skládá informace do souvislostí, nabízí hlubší vhled do problematiky zpravodajství a pečlivě promýšlí obsah každého vydání. Koncept slow journalismu si získává stále více příznivců, důkazem budiž nově vznikající tituly, které jsou vydávány především v zahraničí. Následující bakalářská práce nejprve nabízí krátký pohled do historie žurnalistiky a analýzu současného mediálního prostředí, které je ovlivněno především technologickým pokrokem. Následně pak představuje pojem slow journalism jako trend, který se od dnešní útržkovité a zkratkovité novinařiny odklání a vrací se ke kořenům tradiční žurnalistiky. Další část práce vymezuje jeho charakteristické znaky a představuje nejdůležitější zástupce slow journalismu v zahraničí. V závěrečné části se práce zabývá vznikem a činností českého magazínu Reportér, který založil v roce 2014 bývalý šéfredaktor MF DNES Robert Čásenský, se kterým do redakce nově vzniklého časopisu přešlo rovněž několik jeho bývalých spolupracovníků. Cílem práce je poukázat na aspekty slow journalismu na konkrétních příkladech vydaných čísel magazínu Reportér v rozmezí od září 2014 do září 2015. Slow journalism is a trend that stands against the current forms of journalism. It doesn't need to get the stunning and sensational news first. Instead, it puts information into perspective, offers deeper insight into the aspects of journalism and carefully crafts the contents of each issue. The concept of slow journalism is attracting more followers still and all the new press emerging especially abroad can be considered a proof of this trend. This bachelor thesis first offers a short insight into the history of journalism and analyzes the current media environment which is influenced mainly by advances in technology. Subsequently, this thesis introduces the concept of slow journalism as a trend that diverges from the current fragmentary and abbreviating journalism and returns to the roots of the traditional journalism itself. In the next part of this thesis its main characteristics are introduced as well as the most important representatives of slow journalism abroad. The last part of the thesis describes the origins and business operations of the Czech magazine Reporter which has been established in 2014 by the former editor in chief of MF DNES Robert Čásenský, with whom also a few of his former colleagues joined the magazine.
