Jarmil Burghauser je dnes znám především jako vydavatel souborného kritického vydání díla Antonína Dvořáka. Vedle toho připravil i některé edice děl Smetanových, Fibichových a Janáčkových, a mnohé skladby těchto autorů také instrumentoval. O jeho skladatelské činnosti se však příliš neví, ačkoliv prameny ukazují, že byl velmi plodným skladatelem. Úkolem této práce bude představit část skladatelského odkazu Jarmila Burghausera prostřednictvím analýz vybraných děl komorní hudby pro dechové nástroje a zařadit jej do kontextu české tvorby 20. století. Jarmil Burghauser is mostly known as the editor of the complete critical edition of Antonín Dvořák's work. In addition to that he issued editions of Smetana, Fibich or Janáček. He also instrumented many pieces of these composers. Even though the sources refer to his fruitful activities in the field of composing, Burghauser as a composer is not very known. The aim of this thesis is to introduce Jarmil Burghauser as a composer of chamber music for brass instruments through the analysis of selected compositions. The objective is also to put Burghauser in the context of Czech musical work in the 20th century.
