Bakalářská práce "Kubánská zahraniční politika v situaci ekonomické závislosti na SSSR:Případ podněcování ozbrojených revolucí v zemích třetího světa v rámci magazínu Tricontinental" se zabývá otázkou schopnosti kubánské vlády vykonávat nezávislou zahraniční politiku - konkrétně v oblasti propagandy - před a po roce 1968, kdy byla nucena značně přehodnotit svůj postoj k Sovětskému svazu poté, co byly přerušeny dodávky ropy na ostrov. První část práce je věnována obecnému popisu kubánské zahraniční politiky vůči zemím třetího světa po převzetí moci Fidelem Castrem v roce 1959 a objasnění odlišností od sovětské politiky. Popsány jsou i obchodní vztahy mezi oběma státy, tak jak se vyvíjely v průběhu 60. let. V druhé části jsou srovnávány odlišnosti v kubánské propagandě v rámci obsahu magazínu Tricontinental (četnost propagování ozbrojených revolucí), který v období 1966 až 1990 sloužil jako hlavní "zbraň" kubánské propagandy směřované vně vlastního území. Primárním cílem této práce je zjistit, jestli byla kubánská vláda schopna na poli propagandy udržet vlastní zahraničně-politickou linii po té, co se na ekonomické rovině jasně dostala pod vliv Sovětského svazu, jehož zahraniční politika vůči zemím třetího světa byla velmi odlišná. Bachelor thesis "Cuban foreign policy in the context of economic dependency on the USSR: The case of spurring armed revolutions in the third world countries through Tricontinental" deals with the problem of Cuban dependency in its foreign policy - particularly in the field of propaganda - before and after the year 1968, when the Cuban leaders were forced, by the circumstances, to rethink their approach in dealing with the Soviet Union after the import of oil on the island was suspended. In the first part, the general goals of the Cuban foreign policy, in the initial period of the new Castro's regime, towards third world countries are described. The emphasis is also on pinpointing the main differences between the Soviet and Cuban foreign policy agendas. In the second part, the focus is on comparing the form and the content of Cuban propaganda (the frequency of mentioning armed struggles) as it was distributed to the public through the magazine Tricontinental, a magazine that served as the main ideological "weapon" of the Cuban propaganda machine (mainly outside of the country).
