Mediální výchova je zaměřena na systematické zvyšování mediální gramotnosti a ve většině vyspělých států je zařazena do systému vzdělávání na různých stupních školských institucí. Cílem bakalářské práce je přinést odlišný pohled na problematiku mediální výchovy, a to konkrétně ze strany studentů. Práce je věnována výuce mediální výchovy a zároveň měla poskytnout vhled do situace na konkrétním gymnáziu. Teoretická východiska popsaná v první kapitole práce poskytují základní přehled spojený s vymezením elementárních pojmů a přiblížením současné podoby a stavu mediální výchovy. Stěžejní část práce tvoří výzkum postavení mediální výchovy na středních školách. Konkrétní výzkum byl realizován na Gymnáziu Třebíč, kde uplatňují výuku mediální výchovy formou dobrovolně volitelného semináře pro studenty. Výzkum byl proveden kvalitativní metodou ohniskových skupin mezi studenty třetího a čtvrtého ročníku gymnázia. Souběžně s kvalitativním výzkumem byl realizován kvantitativní výzkum formou dotazníkového šetření mezi studenty druhého ročníku gymnázia. Spojení obou zvolených metod zajistilo vyšší objektivnost výzkumu a přineslo ucelenější a přesnější závěry. The aim of this thesis is to bring a different perspective on the issue of media education, and specifically from the point of view of students. The thesis concerns the teaching of media education and also provides an insight into the situation at a particular grammar school. Theoretical solutions described in the first chapter of the thesis provide a basic outline associated with the definition of concepts and with the approach to current forms of media education. The central part consists of the research of the status of media education in secondary schools. The specific research was realised at grammar school in Třebíč, where the teaching of media education is applied through voluntary optional seminars for students. The research was conducted by using a qualitative method of focused groups among students of the third and fourth year of grammar school. Concurrently with the qualitative research, quantitative research was conducted through a questionnaire survey among students of the second year of grammar school.
