Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám významným představitelem rodu Šternberků Alešem Holickým v polipanské době. Na základě rozboru pramenů se snažím zmapovat zejména jeho politický program, jeho vytváření a naplňování a cíle, které jím sledoval. Sleduji jeho politickou orientaci po konverzi ke kalichu na počátku 30. let 15. století a snažím se postihnout východiska jeho vzestupu, včetně vlivu politických uskupení, jichž byl členem. V tomto kontextu pak vysvětluji Alešovu roli v Ptáčkově a Poděbradově straně a jeho podíl na formulování a prosazování jejích požadavků. Na základě shromážděných poznatků je v závěru zhodnocen Alešův přínos nejen pro český utrakvismus, Ptáčkovu stranu, poděbradskou stranu (později poděbradskou jednotu), v nichž působil, ale i pro celou zemi. Snažím se tak revidovat některé závěry starší historiografie, v níž je podceněn Alešův vliv ve stranách, k nimž patřil i jeho schopnost samostatného jednání. Právě v Alešově vytrvalé, cílevědomé činnosti a zásluhách vidím opodstatnění, proč jej zařadit mezi významné postavy českých dějin a politiky 30. - 50. let 15. století. V práci se věnuji jak Alešovu politickému programu, tak jeho vztahům ke spojencům a protivníkům. Současně se zabývám Alešovými majetkovými poměry, jejich vývojem a teritoriálním rozvržením. Pro komplexní vystižení... In my thesis I deal with Aleš Holický, a significant representative of the Šternberk clan, in the post Lipany period. On the basis of sources, I am trying to chart especially his political programme, its creation and the fulfilment of the goal he was pursuing. I follow up his political orientation after the conversion to the chalice in the beginning of 1430s and try to describe the basis of his rise including the influence of the political groups which he was a member of. In this context, I explain Aleš's role in Ptáček's and Poděbrad's party and his interest in formulation and enforcement of their demands. On the basis of the evidence collected, Aleš's contribution not just to Czech utraquism, Ptáček's party, Poděbrad's party (later Poděbrad's league), in which he acted, as well as for the whole country is evaluated at the end. Thus, I am trying to revise some conclusions of older historiography in which Aleš's influence in the parties he belonged to as well as his independent negotiations have been underestimated. In Aleš's persistent, purposeful activity and merits I can see the substantiation of his inclusion among the significant personalities of Czech history and politics of the 1430s - 1450s.
