Bakalářská práce "Význam a postavení korunních závislých území v rámci Spojeného království" se zabývá postavením a významem ostrovů Guernsey, Jersey a Man. Tyto ostrovy nejsou suverénními státy, jsou pod správou britské koruny. Spojené království se stará o jejich obranu a mezinárodní reprezentaci. Korunní dependence však disponují velkou mírou samostatnosti. Mají vlastní zákonodárné sbory, vlády, daňové a soudní systémy. Hlavou každého z ostrovů je britský monarcha. Každý z ostrovů má i vlastní měnu, která je však vázána na britskou libru v poměru jedna ku jedné. Ostrovy jsou považovány za významná offshore finanční centra. Cílem práce je zjistit jaké je současné postavení a význam těchto ostrovů a jaký je jejich další možný vývoj. These islands are not sovereign states, they are under the British administration. The United Kingdom handles their defense and international representation. The Crown Dependencies however possess a great amount of independence. They have their own legislative bodies, governments and tax and judicial systems. The head of each island is the British monarch. Each island also has its own currency, which, however, is tied to the British Pound at a ratio of one to one. The islands are regarded as important off-shore financial centers. The goals of this thesis are to find out the islands' current status and significance, and to debate their further development.
